Arabic that actually reads
right to left

Confluence has no concept of text direction. Write an Arabic sentence with an English word in it and the pieces come out in the wrong order — and the align-right button does not fix it. RTL Pro does.

One sentence, three outcomes

Measured on a live Confluence Cloud page. The first phrase and the last swap places around the English name.

Written

تكليف Omar بإعداد قياس الأداء قبل يوم 20 مايو.

What Confluence shows

بإعداد قياس الأداء قبل يوم 20 مايو. Omar تكليف

With RTL Pro

تكليف Omar بإعداد قياس الأداء قبل يوم 20 مايو.

Right-aligning the paragraph does not change this. Alignment decides which side of the page a block sits on; it says nothing about the order the words are read in.

Reading order, not just alignment

Confluence already has an align-right button. Alignment moves a block to the right — it does not change the order the words are read in. An Arabic sentence containing an English product name stays reversed, and its full stop lands on the wrong side. That gap is the reason this app exists.

List markers on the right

Confluence Cloud cannot right-align a list — its storage format has nowhere to record it. RTL Pro rewrites right-to-left lists as right-aligned paragraphs carrying a real “•” or “1.”, so the marker sits where an Arabic reader expects it. Reversible, and switchable off per space.

Titles and comments too

Page titles cannot be fixed by any amount of clicking in the editor, and comments are separate content with exactly the same problem. Both are handled alongside the page body.

A whole space in one go

Scan a space, see exactly which pages will change and how many blocks in each, then fix the ones you choose. Or leave auto-fix on and never think about it again.

Nothing is one-way

Remove RTL fix strips every character the app added and restores real lists. Every change is an ordinary page version you can see in page history and roll back yourself.

Runs on Atlassian

The app declares no external domains and makes no network request to any third party. Your content never leaves Atlassian infrastructure. Confirmed eligible for Atlassian’s Runs on Atlassian programme.

What this app does not do

Confluence Cloud constrains what any app can change. We would rather you read this now than discover it after paying.

  • The app writes invisible Unicode bidirectional characters into your page text. That is what makes the fix work everywhere, including exports. It is fully reversible.
  • While a list is mirrored it is not a Confluence list: Enter does not continue it, the toolbar’s list buttons do not apply, and screen readers do not announce it as a list. Leave mirroring off if you have an accessibility obligation.
  • Lists that contain a sub-list are left alone — a nested level cannot be expressed this way, and losing content would be worse than a marker on the wrong side.
  • Table column order stays left-to-right. Cell contents are fixed; the order of the columns is not something Confluence exposes.
  • A brand-new paragraph types left-to-right until it is saved.
  • Automatic fixes are written with the app’s own authority, because a background trigger has no user session. Manual fixes run as you.

Try it on a 30-day free trial

During the trial the whole-space bulk fix is capped at 10 pages in total. Per-page fixing, automatic fixing and undo are never capped, and the remaining allowance is shown before you start.
